We decided to take a vacation down to Bryce Canyon http://www.nps.gov/brca/. We stayed at Ruby's Inn Campground http://www.rubysinn.com/ in our trailerfor 3 nights. We had so much fun! The kids loved roasting marshmellows, swimming in the pool, going to the gift shop, seeing chipmunks, deer, birds, and feeling like they were on top of the world looking out at the "Hoodoos" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoodoo_(geology)). Justin and I had fun hiking and looking at the pretty views of plateus and hoodoos. The kids also got a chance to become Junior Rangers. They had to pass off so many things in a workbook for their age level to earn their badge. On the last day we got up early to go on a guided hike with Ranger Ray who is a volunteer up at Bryce Canyon. We hiked Mossy Cave and saw Hoodoos, a cave, and a waterfall. After the hike, Ranger Ray made the kids repeat the Bryce Canyon Junior Ranger Pledge and then gave them their badges, they were proud! So was mom and dad. This was also Teddy's first camping adventure and he did awesome! Just like a champ. Did you know that the bark of a Ponderosa Pine smells like vanilla/butterscotch? Once Kaylee found that out she spent half the night going around and smelling trees. Ben did his usual, going around trying to find sticks and pinecones to throw in the fire. We also got to camp next to some people from the Netherlands. We shared our cherry cobbler with them and they shared their Jiffy Pop camp fire pop corn (the kind you shake over the fire) with us. They did really well for their first time at popping that stuff, they didn't even burn it! (like I usually do!).

Sounds like a ton of fun.
It just came to me that we should plan a trip togther to Lake Powell. It's almost smack dab in the middle of us and the kids would have a blast.
That'll have to be after you come visit us on the homestead!
